Coyote Arts Network Staff Linda Louden, co-director of CAN, has been a board certified registered nurse since 1967 and a certified psychotherapist since 1987. She has worked in multiple settings, including private in-patient and juvenile detention, to provide therapy, including play and art therapies, to troubled children and youth. She has lived in Costilla, NM full time since 1996 and has been instrumental in providing art classes for the Rio Costilla Elementary School since 2009. Linda says, "Art is a process which allows and encourages the development of each child's best and truest self." Henry Woolbert, co-director of CAN, is a multi-media artist and teacher since 1969. His artwork includes paintings, drawings, prints, collaborative masks, and puppets. Henry is a blue belt and assistant teacher in the non-violent martial art of Aikido, which emphasizes peaceful conflict resolution. Henry has taught art to troubled children in PALS, an after school program sponsored by La Puente Homeless Shelter of Alamosa. He currently teaches a children's art class in San Luis, CO, and will soon begin art classes for inmates at the Alamosa County Jail. Henry says, "Art saves lives."
